From the international buffets of The Rainbow Garden to the grilled specialities of The Docksider and Mediterranean cuisine of Piccolo Mondo, dining at St. James’s Club is all about choice. Their three main restaurants are located near the pool, by the water’s edge or on a panoramic hillside overlooking Mamora Bay, each delightful venue complemented by mouthwatering cuisine and attentive service.
THE RAINBOW GARDEN is The Club’s principal restaurant. It is set amidst the resort’s tropical gardens, its spacious dining room opening out onto a terrace overlooking the pool. From generous buffets showcasing fresh seafood to a la carte menus featuring prime steaks, guests can anticipate memorable evenings here, Mondays particularly popular for the live calypso music and international buffets. Open daily for breakfast and lunch, as well as on selected evenings for dinner. Some dishes may be subject to a supplement for all-inclusive guests.
THE DOCKSIDER is distinguished by its alfresco setting right on the edge of tranquil Mamora Bay. Traditionally only open after dark, it offers grilled favorites such as fish kebabs and sirloin steaks, with speciality dishes like freshly-caught lobster and prime beef tenderloin also on the menu. Open on selected evenings for dinner. Some dishes may be subject to a supplement for all-inclusive guests.
PICCOLO MONDO is the resort’s fine dining restaurant. Its sequestered hillside setting in The Village is enhanced by creative cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Deep-fried calamari, fresh lobster and grilled beef tenderloin can all feature here, the international specialities complemented by fine wines and choice desserts. Open on selected evenings for dinner. Please note all-inclusive guests pay a surcharge to dine at Piccolo Mondo.
St. James’s Club guests can also enjoy the more informal dining experience of COCO’S restaurant overlooking the palm-fringed Atlantic shoreline. Coffees and teas are also available in the GARDEN PATIO.
Daytime refreshments are served in three beach and poolside bars: Mamora Beach Bar,Coco Bay Bar,The Reef Deck Bar (by the main pool)
Evening cocktails can be enjoyed in two sophisticated venues: Jacaranda Lounge, Docksider Restaurant & Bar
Live entertainment is provided and ranges from calypso singers and crab-racing to fashion shows and reggae bands.
St. James’s Club is all about having a good time... whether than means relaxing with a book beneath a palm tree or trying your hand at windsurfing in the bay. Indeed, the club is just as suitable for those who want to do nothing as it is for those who want to do it all, its beaches and pools complemented by sporting opportunities that rank amongst Antigua’s finest. For those who have come here simply to relax, there are two white sand beaches to choose between, as well as four swimming pools, including a designated family pool and an adult-only ‘tranquility’ pool.
The long list of complimentary non-motorized water sports includes snorkelling, windsurfing and kayaking, with instruction readily provided. At additional cost, scuba-diving is available from the on-site PADI dive centre, over 20 dive sites to be found within a 25-minute boat ride. For those who want to try their hand at deep-sea fishing, the ‘Susie Q’ is right on hand, fishing expeditions yielding anything from mahi mahi to the occasional marlin. On land, there are six tennis courts (four of them lit for night play), with instruction readily available from the pro. The ‘Body Shop’ gym is perfect for those who want to maintain their fitness regimes, whilst the daily activities program includes anything from aquacise classes to adventure walks. Even golfers can indulge their passion. Play is available on two 18-hole courses (Jolly Harbour Golf Club & Cedar Valley Golf Club), both about 35-minutes’ drive away. Green fees and transfers are payable locally.
